Archives and Records Association of New Zealand (ARANZ)
ARANZ is an incorporated society, established in 1976, with the aim of promoting the understanding and importance of records and archives in New Zealand. ARANZ is administered nationally by a Council of elected members. Branches are established in Auckland, Canterbury, Central Districts, Otago/Southland, Waikato/Bay of Plenty, and Wellington.

Archives New Zealand acts as the memory of government. They ensure that there is an authentic and reliable record of government and we preserve and provide access to these archives.

Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga
Formally known as the Historic Places Trust, Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga is the government agency responsible for identifying, protecting and promoting this country’s unique historical and cultural heritage. Over the past 50 years, the organisation has become New Zealand’s leading national heritage agency, and is seen as the guardian of Aotearoa New Zealand’s historic heritage.

National Services Te Paerangi
works with museums, galleries, iwi (tribes), and related organisations to enhance museum services and support these to become self-sustaining.

Fostering professional standards in oral history, and bringing together those interested in oral history

Oral History Centre
The Oral History Centre collection contains oral history interviews and other unpublished recordings. It covers many aspects of New Zealand life.
