NZMuseums has relaunched itself – an initiative of the Museum of New Zealand.
We recognise that museums must keep up with the times, and alongside the National Digital Content Strategy for New Zealand we are enabling the museums of New Zealand, in particular the several hundred small volunteer-run museums throughout the country, to have a global presence through the Web.
You can find things by region – like Canterbury or find objects relating to places like christchurch or canterbury, or find subjects like pounamu or clothing.
Organisations like the Canterbury Museum, the Kowhai Archive, Waimate Museum or the Ashburton Museum can now publish aspects of their collection online.
